A call has been made to the Federal Government by the General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God Worldwide, Pastor Enoch Adeboye to commit more funds to enhance the security of lives and properties in the country.

Adeboye said this while offering prayers for military and paramilitary personnel as well as members of their families at the RCCG headquarters in Ebute-Metta, Lagos.

The programme was tagged, “Lord of Hosts”

The cleric advised military and paramilitary personnel to realise the fact that their powers are limited and should depend on God to have constant victory.

Speaking on behalf of Adeboye shortly after the special service, the Assistant General Overseer, Administration and Personnel, RCCG, Pastor Johnson Odesola, advised security agencies to cooperate with the Federal Government as the later steps up efforts to increase security budget.

According to him, the country has come of age to produce some weapons locally, recalling that some weapons were manufactured locally during the civil war in the late 60s.

Adeboye also called on Nigerian to join in the communal effort to fight inflation, another economic challenge facing the nation.

“This is another battle the nation is facing which requires strategy and contribution of every Nigerian.

“Price of goods and services continue to skyrocket everyday and while the government requires a favourable policy, Nigerians are expected to co-operate and assist in any way they could for the nation to come out of the quagmire.

“This is a nation blessed with a lot of intelligent citizens and all the government should do is to encourage Nigerians to make use of their brain with favourable policies” he said.

He, however, appealed to Nigerians to be patient with the government in its effort to put things right while advising the latter to borrow leaf from other countries that have experienced inflation and learn from the experts that helped them through.
