PVCs: NASE Tasks Saki Indigenes On Voter Registration Exercise

0

The National Association of Saki Elites (NASE) has called on all eligible sons and daughters of the ancient city to take advantage of the nationwide continuous voter registration exercise by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to get themselves registered.

The NASE in a statement issued by its National President, Mr Wole Oladokun and the National Public Relations Officer, Abdulrosheed Okiki said the voter registration exercise would avail Nigerians who hitherto have not obtained the permanent voter cards the opportunity to register during the exercise.

NASE also enjoined Saki indigenes who had either lost or got their voter card damaged to take advantage of the window created by INEC to register and get new voter cards.

The Association reminded Saki indigenes that participation in electoral process is a civic responsibility while the permanent voter card remains a weapon to elect credible candidates during elections.

It appealed to eligible sons and daughters of Saki not to disenfranchise themselves in the 2019 and subsequent general elections by securing their permanent voter cards during the continuous voter registration exercise.

NASE also advised those who had registered and possess valid PVCs not to get involved in multiple registrations, saying that such act contravenes the law and it is criminal to do so.
