OGHA Holds Stakeholders’ Forum On Forest And Wildlife Preservation Bill Wednesday

In its bid to promote environmental safety through relevant legislation meant to reduce health hazards caused by climate change, the Ogun State House of Assembly will on Wednesday, 20th of September, 2017 hold a public hearing on HB. No.23/OG/2017- A Bill for a law to provide for the Conservation, Preservation and Control of Forest and Wildlife in Ogun State”.

A release signed by the Clerk of the Assembly, Engr. Lanre Bisiriyu, indicated that the stakeholders’ forum is meant to harness input of relevant stakeholders in the agro-forestry and other related sectors towards ensuring an effective legislative framework to mitigate the effect of climate change through the creation and protection of forest reserves across the State.

The Forum according to the release, would take place at the State House of Assembly Complex, Oke- Mosan, Abeokuta at 10:00am prompt, all the Stakeholders are enjoined to be seated at 9.30 am.
