All roads led to the prestigious Riverside Resorts and Hotels, Odo Oba, Iwo-Ibadan Road, Iwo on Sunday, October 22, 2017 when media guru, Alhaji Semiu Okanlawon celebrated his 50th birthday.
The event which was witnessed by Governors Rauf Aregbesola of Osun State and his counterpart from Lagos State, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode who was represented by his Information and Strategy Commissioner, Steve Ayorinde as well as the Aare Ona Kakanfo Designate, Chief Gani Adams.
Others present included Alhaji Liadi Tella, Mr Debo Adesina, Yunus Akintunde, Arc. Muyiwa Ige and members of the Osun State Executive Council including Mr Adelani Baderinwa, Osun’s Commissioner for Information and Strategy.
In his speech, Governor Aregbesola paid glowing tributes to Semiu who is presently his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy.
On the bandstand was Queen and her juju musical band.
