Oyo Police Calls For Farmers/Herdsmen Parley To Forestall Crisis

The Oyo State Police Command will be holding an interactive meeting/ session with herdsmen and farmers in Oyo State as part of the proactive measures to prevent violent clash between them.

The Oyo State Police Command’s Public Relation Officer (PPRO), SP Adekunle Ajisebutu disclosed this in a statement issued and made available to PMParrot.

He said the meeting was convened at the instance of the Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Odude.

The peace meeting has been scheduled to hold on Tuesday 23rd January, 2018 according to the PPRO at the Command’s Headquarters, Eleyele, Ibadan by 11 a.m prompt.

Ajisebutu said the action was a proactive policing scheme which is part of their policing strategies and to forestall the lingering farmers/herdsmen crisis rocking some states of the country which is one of the mission and policies of the Inspector General of Police, IGP, Idris Abubakar.
