As part of activities to promote reading culture among school children, the management of Mahnatez International School, Oluyole, Ibadan in collaboration with Chelis School Book Fair has organized a book fair for the students of the school.

The week-long book fair, according to the Proprietress of Mahnatez International School, Alhaja Bolatito Adebisi, is to give opportunities for students, parents and guardians to find books that will encourage children’s reading ability.

Alhaja Adebisi, who is also the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Abiola Ajimobi on Education, equally disclosed that the book fair will enable them have access to various forms of books irrespective of ages and classes at every open hours.

She further expressed that the book fair event would give opportunities to parents and guardians to contribute directly to the school library by donating books on the school’s wish list to enhance the knowledge of the students and, as well enrich the school’s library.

Guests including Dr. Bisi Akin-Alabi, parents, guidance, friends and well wishers were in attendance during the official opening of the fair.

Also expected to attend the fair later are Deputy Governor, Moses Alake Adeyemo, former Commissioner for Finance, Zacheaus Adelabu, caretaker Chairman, Ibadan South West Chairman, Hon. Gbenga Opaleye, Commissioner for Education, Prof. Adeniyi Olowofela and Mr. Adekola Adewuyi, who is the Special Assistant to the Governor on Education.
