Have you heard that Ibadan-born Deputy Governor of Nigeria’s Central Bank (CBN), Chief Adebayo Adekola Adelabu was involved in an auto-mishap and was only saved by providence?

PMParrot can exclusively reveal that the youthful technocrat was involved in the road accident at about 6 am on Monday, September 25, 2017.

A source close to Adelabu who does not want his name mentioned gave the full account.

“It was on Monday, September 25 at about 6 am. Oga was going to Abuja to catch a 7 am flight to Abuja when it happened somewhere around the Redeemed Church of God’s Redemption Camp on Ibadan-Lagos Expressway.

“You know, it is a policy that Oga follows that we must never speed or neglect road rules and laws even if we are in a hurry.

“However, on this particular morning, a car, out of nowhere just swerved into the middle of our convoy and hit Oga’s SUV pushing it away from the Expressway.

“It tumbled (somersault) a couple of times with all the airbags in the SUV out”.

It was revealed to PMParrot by another source that apart from Adelabu’s driver, others in the vehicle included his Personal Assistant and his Security detail.

We gathered that the Apex Bank’s top shot was after the accident rushed to an undisclosed clinic in Maitama, Abuja where he received treatment for three days before he came back to Ibadan on Wednesday September 27.

Efforts to reach Chief Adelabu were not successful but our source informed that he is now better.

“Oga is now okay but is taking things easy. He is more than grateful to God for keeping him alive. It was a day I do not wish to ever remember again”, submitted the source.
