Gateway FC Management Charged On Improved Performance

The Chairman, Ogun House Committee on Youth, Sports and Employment Generation, Hon Ganiyu Oyedeji has charged the management of the Gateway Football Club to improve on its performance so as to climb the Premiership ladder.

Oyedeji gave the charge while leading other members of the Committee on oversight visit to the Ministry of Youth and Sports at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abeokuta.

He equally challenged the management of the various stadia in the State to ensure increased Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) to further the ongoing development in the State.

In their remarks, other members like Honourables Idowu Olowofuja and Victor Fasanya called on the management of the stadia to device a means of utilizing the facilities for improved IGR into the government’s coffers.

Speaking earlier, the Commissioner in charge of the Ministry, Mr. Afolabi Afuwape said over 30 athletes who were discovered among participants to the last National Sports Festival had been invited to the national camp; adding that more talents were also being discovered through the Ogun State / GT Bank Principals’ cup football competition which was concluded few days ago.
