Sunday, 7th January, 2018 witnessed another giant stride recorded by one of the few National Assembly members from Oyo State that is walking the talk, Hon. Adedapo Lam-Adesina, representing Ibadan North East/South East federal constituency in the House of Representatives.

The young and vibrant lawmaker used the day to unveil the state’s entrepreneurs of the year.

He also organized a Dinner Reception in Honour of the state’s young entrepreneurs of the year 2017, Kazeem Ayobami Bolarinwa and Sekinat Adetola Ogunsesan, who emerged winners after the voting competition.

The maiden edition of the event, Omoolore Young Person of the Year, was held at Best Western Plus Hotel, Iyaganku, Ibadan.

The youth emancipation event that brought young people across different walks of life together, including prominent stand up comedians and On Air Personalities, was an initiative designed by Hon. Adedapo Lam Adesina (Omoolore) to recognize young people who have made a difference in their chosen careers and as well to encourage others to believe in their ability and aspirations.

The competition was held among youths in Oyo State between the ages of 20 and 40.

Kazeem Ayobami Bolarinwa, 28 emerged winner in the male category with total votes of 248, while Sekinat Adetola Ogunsesan, 19, a Creative Diretor at a make-up establishment, Keenmakeovers, was the first runner up with total votes of 158. Both were awarded with a business support financial assistance of the sum of #250,000.00 (two hundred and fifty thousand naira) each by Hon. Adedapo Lam Adesina.

In his thank you message, one of the beneficiaries, Kazeem Bolarinwa, while giving glory to God and his parents, commended the people who supported him during the voting exercise.

He described Hon. Adedapo Lam as a politician with a difference, adding that the leadership trait and quality he possessed are worthy to be emulated by other politicians and younger ones.

He advised youths to remain focused and committed to whatever aspiration or dream they have. He added that with quality content and passion the sky is their limit.
