Azaka Olabisi Catherine, one of the leading lights in Nigerian women football league has commended Head of the Nigeria Women Football League, Aisha Falode, for her immense contribution to the development of female soccer in the country.
The organizer of the annual four-a-side football tournament, Awori Youth Competition, disclosed this at the 2018 edition of the tournament in Lagos.
The former Jagunmole FC mid-fielder now a youth coach, urged participants at the tournament to remain focused and steadfast in their bid to produce the next big stars for the country’s football.
“This tournament has already yielded great dividends with various youngsters emerging as potential stars for Nigeria’s national teams as well as for teams in the national league,” Catherine disclosed.
