Super Eagles manager, Gernot Rohr, is satisfied with the performance of his players in the 3-0 away win against Seychelles in their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at the Stade Linite, Victoria on Saturday.

The three-time African champions dominated their less fancied hosts from start to end of the game.

Ahmed Musa broke the deadlock in the 15th minute when he unleashed a powerful shot from outside the penalty area that beat Seychelles goalkeeper Dave Mussard.

Chidozie Awaziem added the second in the 34th minute slamming the ball home after Kelechi Iheanacho free kick hit the post, while Odion Ighalo got the third from the spot in the 56th minute.

“We are very satisfied with the result as the important thing was to win three points,” Rohr told reporters after the game.

“It was not easy as our opponents were very combative and aggressive. We started well though in the second half we found it hard playing against the wind.

“Our opponents also worked hard and we never underestimated them.”

In other Group E match, South Africa and Libya played out a barren game in Durban. Both teams have four points apiece, with Nigeria trailing on three points. Seychelles sit at the bottom without any point.
