Super Eagles’ manager, Gernot Rohr has revealed that Victor Moses will be welcomed back to the squad only if he is prepared to give 100% to the team.

Moses retired from international football after featuring for Nigeria at the 2018 World Cup in Russia at the age of 27 which Rohr thinks was a bit too early for the Chelsea winger.

“Victor Moses is a very good player for Nigeria. I believe it was too early for such a good player to stop international football when he did but we have to respect his decisions,” Rohr said.

“If he changes his mind we will welcome him but he has to find that motivation within himself to come back and be ready to give his 100% at all time as we know he can.

“Then of course, it is important that he gets back to playing regularly at his club and get his sharpness back.”

Moses has been capped 37 times for the Super Eagles scoring 12 times since making his debut in 2012.

He was part of the Super Eagles squad that won the Africa Cup of Nations with Nigeria in 2013, and he represented the nation at two World Cups, in 2014 and 2018.

Meanwhile Nigeria Football Federation president Amaju Pinnick is set to meet Victor Moses to discuss his international retirement in a fortnight.
