The Kayode Fayemi-government in Ekiti state through the Permanent Secretary in the state’s Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Mr. Deji Ajayi has assured all parents and guardians of safety of their wards in schools before, during and after the elections.

Mr. Deji Ajayi, who gave the assurance in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital during a chat with journalists disclosed that the Ministry and security agencies have put adequate security measures in place for students in all schools across the state.

Ayodeji Ajayi encouraged parents and guardians with children and wards in schools not to disallow them from resuming for the continuation of the 2018/2019 academic session.

In another development, the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Ayodeji Ajayi has guaranteed a more conducive learning environment in schools across the State

Deji Ajayi, who made the statement at Ifaki Grammar School in Ifaki-Ekiti in Ido/Osi Local Government area of the State while on schools monitoring called on the Old Students Associations of other secondary schools in the State to emulate Ifaki Grammar School’s Old Students that provided a block of classrooms to their Alma mater at its new location.

According to the Permanent Secretary, the state government would soon provide more facilities for schools across the State.

Mr. Ajayi, who equally commended the Parents Teachers Association of the school for agreeing  to relocate the school to its permanent site, charged other education stakeholders to justify government’s huge investment in the sector.

The Principal, Ifaki Grammar School, Mr. Omodara Oniyelu, who appreciated the State government for its support, noted that the school, which had been a tenant at the Methodist Girls School for over ten years, has finally moved to its permanent site. Omodara, who noticed an improved enrollment figure since the school got to its new site, said all efforts would be intensified to sustain the improvement.
