The Oyo State Chapter of the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria, (RTEAN), has congratulated the Governor elect in the state, Engr. Seyi Makinde saying his victory is a well deserved one.
The Chairman of RTEAN in Oyo State, Prince Kehinde Adeyemo in a statement signed and made available to PMParrot in Ibadan said that the
victory of Seyi Makinde would definitely bring peace, progress, stability to the people of Oyo State.
He posited that the people of Oyo State have spoken with their votes and succeeded in making sure that their preferred candidate takes over the mantle of leadership from Governor Abiola Ajimobi.
Adeyemo said that his victory has revealed that the people of Oyo State believe in his electioneering campaign urging him to fulfill all his promises and bring succor to the good people of Oyo State.
He maintained that Engr. Seyi Makinde is a product of consistency and a good philanthropist saying that he will definitely use his wealth of experience to move the state forward, stressing that RTEAN will not relent in making sure that the governor elect delivers the dividends of democracy to the people of Oyo State.
The chairman stated that RTEAN is solidly behind him because the members believe in his style of leadership.
He also advised the governor elect to look into the transportation sector in the state saying that “we have two recognized bodies – RTEAN and NURTW, so the two organizations should be treated like one”.
He also said there are lots of benefit the government can derive from the sector, maintaining that the governor as a respecter of rule of law, would find a lasting solution to the issue of RTEAN and NURTW rivalry.
Prince Adeyemo also thanked the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji, Senator Rasheed Ladoja, Senator Olufemi Lanlehin, Bar. Sharafadeen Alli and other notable people that supported the Governor-elect in making sure that he achieved his desired aim of becoming the governor of the pacesetter state.
