14 People Trapped As Three Storey Building Collapses In Ibadan

Barely days after a building collapsed in Lagos, Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo State has experienced the same occurrence as 14 people were reportedly trapped when a three storey building at Shogoye area, along Idi-Arere Molete road collapsed.

The property, which was under construction allegedly belongs to one Alhaji Muftaudeen, who is the Chief Executive Officer of Ashifau Haqi Travel and Tour Services and Ashifau Haqi Islamic Spiritual Store with branches at Born Photo, Oja’ba and Molete all in Ibadan.

Some of the people who were around when the incident happened told PMParrot that, not less than 14 people are trapped under the collapsed building.

They noted that among those people trapped, three of them have been reportedly rescued, they however, said that their health status was yet to be confirmed.

As the time of filling this report, rescue operation was still ongoing by men of the state’s Fire Service and other security operatives.
