TASCE Workers Urged To Maintain Peace By Ogun Assembly

Ogun State House of Assembly has appealed to the various unions and the management of the Tai Solarin College of Education (TASCE) to maintain peace as the Assembly has intervened to resolve the disagreement between the management and staff of the institution.

The Chairman,  House Committee on Education, Science and Technology, Hon Olayiwola Ojodu made the appeal shortly after meeting with the stakeholders on the state of affairs in the institution at the Assembly Complex,  Oke-Mosan,  Abeokuta.

Ojodu in company of the  members of the House Committee on Finance and Appropriation while meeting with stakeholders including the State Head of Service,  Engr Lanre Bisiriyu,  the Management of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology led by the Permanent Secretary, Mr Olakunle Aikulola,  the Provost of the college, Adeola Kiadese and the Chairman, Coalition of Staff of the College, Mr Daniel Aborisade said there was need to have another crucial meeting with all the representatives of the stakeholders to ensure the immediate resolution of the issues.

According to him, the way forward was to strategize on the need to increase revenue to meet the financial obligations of the college , promising that with the intervention of the House, all issues would leading to the amicable resolution of the conflict would be addressed.

Also speaking, the Head of Service,  Engr. Lanre Bisiriyu counseled the stakeholders to remain united at resolving the disagreement through synergy on ways to move forward, pointing out that there was need to work towards self sustenance by  increasing students.
