Hon. Adebowale Edward Ogundoyin, the new Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly has declared that the legislative arm under him will work as a body to uplift the lives of the people of the state.

In an interview with PMParrot after being inaugurated on Monday, the 32-year-old politician also said he would operate an ‘open-door’ policy that will ensure that he is available to listen and attend to his members of his constituency and others.

He also expressed appreciation to all the governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde, who, he described as a man with progressive mind.

“I am appreciative also of all officers and leaders of our great party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Ogundoyin, who is the lawmaker representing Ibarapa-East, studied Agronomy at Babcock University in Ilishan, Ogun State.

The new speaker was born in the native of Eruwa, Ibarapa East Local Government area, Oyo State. He is the son of the late Chief Adeseun Ogundoyin who was a popular philanthropist and industrialist.

Meanwhile, political observers who spoke with PMParrot expressed optimism that the House, as presently constituted promises to deliver more because it ‘has both the young and the old – especially, Hon Asimiyu Alarape who was Speaker between 2000 and 2003.’
