The official burial arrangement for the deceased Director General of Development Agenda for Western Nigeria (DAWN)Commission, Mr Dipo Famakinwa has been released.
In an elaborate statement made sent to PMParrotng on Thursday morning by the management of the commission, the late technocrat who died on Friday, April 21, will be buried on May 5, 2017.

The management and staff of Development Agenda for Western Nigeria (DAWN)Commission with a deep sense of grief and loss announce the demise of our Director General, Mr. Dipo Famakinwa. Mr. Famakinwa was for a brief period burdened by illness and passed Friday, 21st of April, 2017. His sudden demise remains a shock.
A certified quality auditor, Mr. Dipo Famakinwa was an alumnus of Obafemi Awolowo University, the Lagos Business School, and Harvard Kennedy School of Government. He had more than twenty-four (24) years of extensive and high-profile professional experience serving various sectors within the Nigerian and multinational markets. He had led successful missions in the provision of management services to clients in financial services, aviation, retail, oil & gas, among others, and had also managed diverse talents and teams across functional areas.
Mr. Dipo Famakinwa directed the activities of the technical work group that put together the Development Agenda for Western Nigeria (DAWN) Strategy Document, and on the back of that, led and coordinated the processes that culminated in the setting up of DAWN Commission.
- Famakinwa provided strategic insight and leadership towards delivering on the vision and mission of the Southwest development agenda.
Mr. Famakinwa is survived by his loving wife and children; father and siblings. May the Almighty rest his soul in eternal peace. Amen
