Grammy award winner and Forbes billionaire, Rihanna has contacted 17-year-old Nigerian hawker, Salle who went viral after she was captured on camera singing beautifully to a beat.
Recently Salle was captured on tape singing with a very beautiful musical voice that amazed many social media users.
In a video that made rounds on social media, the young girl who held an empty tray was asked to do a freestyle on a beat, to which she pulled through and she sang beautifully.
However, days after her emergence on the internet, social media platform accounts were created for her on Instagram and Twitter with handle @RealCallMeSalle.
Through this account, she later revealed via a tweet on the page that Rihanna had reached out to her.
“I got a call from Rihanna,” she wrote on her account.
Salle had earlier taken to her page and also thanked music producer Don Jazzy, Tunde Ednut and some other celebrities for reposting her video.
Christiane Maria Heideh Amanpour, a CNN journalist and television personality, has also asked Salle for an interview on her show, calling the young girl, an inspiration to many around the world.
The CNN journalist, Christiane Amanpour wrote on Twitter:
“Salle, you are a star and an inspiration to many all over the world. Would you kindly accept an invitation to tell your story on my show?”
Rihanna had earlier in the week shown excitement when she met Nigerian artist, Tems for the first time at her event.
The popular American singer was excited to be in the company of the Nigerian star. They met at Rihanna’s latest Savage X Fenty collection promoting event.
During the event, Wizkid and Tems’ hit song, Essence, was among the songs played on the night; and it was indeed a thrilling moment for Tems, and of the highlights of the event was when the pair met, as Rihanna hugged her and screamed “oh my god” in excitement.
