Galatasaray manager, Okan Buruk remains optimistic that Nigeria’s Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, will stay at the club until the end of the current campaign.
Osimhen joined the Turkish Super Lig champions on a season-long loan deal from Napoli in September.
However, there have been rumors that the 25-year-old will leave the Yellow and Reds in January.
Buruk is upbeat that the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup-winning star will be with the club for the entire 2024/25 season.
“Osimhen intends to stay here until the end of the season,” he told NTV.
“He also wants to stay and has been telling me the same thing since the beginning. There is a clause, but it doesn’t matter; he said he will stay.
“The important thing is the player; it is the player who decides, and Osimhen says he will stay here. He said the same thing when he came.”
The former Lille of France striker has registered eight goals and four assists in nine outings across all competitions for Galatasaray.
