Sir (Arc) Muyiwa Ige, the scion of late Deputy Leader of Afenifere, former Attorney–General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, who was also former Governor of defunct Oyo State, now Oyo and Osun States, between 1979 and 1983, Chief Ajibola James Idowu Ige, SAN has been celebrating the 94th posthumous birthday of the iconic Nigerian.
Arc Muyiwa Ige sent out a message saying “didun didun ni iranti olododo. Today marks the 94th posthumous birthday of my late father. May God continue to grant his gentle soul sweet repose.
“May He continually comfort his family, friends, associates, and admirers in this clime, holding steadfast to the strong belief that all will be well. His legacy lives on!….Requiescat in pace”
Others have also been celebrating the late politician who was gruesomely murdered by unknown gunmen, right inside his House at old Bodija Estate, Ibadan, Oyo State.
Chief Wole Apalara, Afenifere Chieftain, Ekiti State said “May he continue to rest till the resurrection morning.”
Dele Akinleye former Oyo State Secretary, Action Congress (AC), and Afenifere Chieftain, Oyo State on his own said: “May Uncle Bola soul continue to rest in peace. A ku Aseyinde”.
On his own, man-about-the-political scene, Comrade Awa Bamiji said “we will continue to remember our father, Chief Ajibola Ige. We are praying for the family he left behind. We have been organizing different events to keep him on the minds of Nigerians.”
