The family left behind by late, one-time governor of Oyo State, Alhaji Lamidi Onaolapo Adesina has joined others to pay tributes to former President Muhammadu Buhari and the Paramount Ruler of Ijebuland, Awujale of Ijebu Ode, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona (Ogbagba II), describing them as iconic leaders that will be difficult to forget.
In a statement made available to PMParrot by the scion of the family, Dr Wasiu Ayobami Lam-Adesina, the late former President and the deceased Awujale were further described as men of integrity and compassion.
Said the statement: “the two well-loved leaders of men were both called home respectively at full ripe ages of 82 and 91 when their services to the nation were needed most.
“These great leaders were examples and models when we are talking about modesty and sense of purpose. They were also God-fearing. May their souls rest in peace.”
