Yorubaland and indeed, Ibadaland has lost another great son in Alhaji Yekini Aderibigbe Agbaje, SAN, who died on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at the ripe age of 89.
The late Senior Advocate of Nigeria who is also the father of one of the leading All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirants, Barrister Akeem Agbaje passed on after a brief illness related to old age.
While speaking during the Islamic burial rite on Monday, Barrister Akeem Agbaje who is also the Chairman of the elitist Ibadan branch of the Nigerian Bar Association informed PMParrot that he was full of joy that his late father was a man who excellently played his role as a statesman, lawyer, community leader and a parent.
The burial activities were held at the Agbaje’s ancestral compound in Ayeye Area of Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo State and was supervised by the Chief Imam of Ibadanland.
In addition to members of NBA, other dignitaries at the ceremony included Justice Adekola, Alhaji K.O. Olatunji, Alhaji Adebayo Adetunji, Mr Muyiwa Ojo of RSS Properties, Barrister Bamidele Abolarin, Mr Wale Olaitan, Barrister Akeem, Members of Agbaje & Agbaje Chamber, the Publisher of Parrot Xtra Magazine, Mr Olayinka Agboola and several others.
The Agbaje Clan is believed to be one of the foremost in Ibadanland because it produced the first lawyer, the first medical doctor and achieved so many other feats.
