The National Orientation Agency (NOA) is aiming to deepen its collaboration with the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) to enhance media coverage of government policies and programs.
This was emphasized during a familiarization tour of media outlets by the Acting State Director of NOA Yobe State, Hajiya Maryam Usman Shettima, accompanied by the agency’s management staff.
Hajiya Shettima described NOA and NTA as “two sister agencies” with a longstanding mutual relationship since NOA’s inception, especially in providing maximum media coverage.
She appealed for the continuation and strengthening of this partnership, particularly with the 2027 General Elections approaching.
She highlighted the need to re-strategize efforts to educate Nigerians on the importance of peaceful and credible elections under the campaign hashtag #2027Electionwithoutbitterness.
In his remarks, the General Manager of NTA Damaturu, Alhaji Aliyu Ahmed Mohammed, congratulated Hajiya Shettima on her recent appointment and warmly welcomed the NOA delegation.
He described the visit as a “family visit” and assured a strong partnership within the NTA jurisdiction.
He also promised to continue promoting the policies, programs, and activities of both the federal and Yobe State governments.
The visit concluded with the presentation of NOA’s publications and newly reintroduced copies of the National Anthem to the NTA channel.
