Senator (Dr) Sharafadeen Alli (APC–Oyo South) has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of former House of Representatives member, Hon. Kareem Kunle Jenrade, describing the loss as painful.
Alli, in a condolence message issued on Friday in Ibadan, said Jenrade’s death marked the end of an era of selfless service, steadfast leadership and unwavering commitment to progressive ideals.
The senator described the late Jenrade as a foremost progressive leader in Ona-Ara Local Government, whose political journey was defined by courage, integrity and enduring passion for grassroots development.
He noted that Jenrade played a significant role in strengthening the All Progressives Congress (APC) structure in Ona-Ara and beyond, earning respect across political divides through humility and dedication to the people.
Alli said the deceased’s contributions as a former lawmaker remained impactful, adding that his voice for justice, equity, and community advancement would be sorely missed by constituents and associates alike.
According to him, Jenrade’s legacy of service and commitment to progressive politics would continue to inspire younger generations of leaders within the APC and across Oyo State.
The lawmaker extended heartfelt condolences to the family, political associates, and the entire people of Ona-Ara Local Government over the irreparable loss.
Alli prayed for the repose of the soul of the departed and asked God to grant his loved ones the strength and fortitude to bear the painful loss.
