Besiktas are ready to sell Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi this summer for a fee in excess of €10 million, as the Turkish club look to recoup a profit on the €8 million they paid Leicester City for his services just 12 months ago.

Ndidi joined the Istanbul side in the summer of 2025 but finds himself surplus to requirements following a disappointing campaign that has triggered a major squad overhaul at the club. New manager Vincenzo Italiano, appointed after Besiktas parted ways with Sergen Yalçın, has reportedly excluded Ndidi from his tactical plans for the 2026/27 season.

Fellow Nigeria-eligible defender, Felix Uduokhai has also been included on the list of players who could depart as the club seeks to balance its wage bill and comply with Turkish foreign player quota regulations, according to reports from Turkish outlets Fanatik and Kartal Record.

The Saudi Pro League is considered the most likely destination for Ndidi, with clubs from the Middle East monitoring his situation closely. A return to England has been mooted, and the midfielder was previously linked with Manchester United, but a move to Old Trafford now appears unlikely following the club’s recent midfield recruitment activity.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding his future, Ndidi is expected to report for pre-season training on June 28.

He remains under contract at Besiktas for another two years, though the club’s willingness to sell is understood to be firm, with a final decision on his future expected before the new season gets underway.
