Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) has completed the signing of experienced midfielder Olakunle Alaka from Kano Pillars FC on a one-year contract ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The Ibadan-based club announced the acquisition of the former Wikki Tourists FC defensive midfielder as part of efforts to strengthen its squad for the new league campaign.
Alaka, who has established himself as one of the experienced midfielders in the NPFL, is expected to add quality, composure, and leadership to Shooting Stars’ midfield as the Oluyole Warriors prepare for another competitive season.
Club officials believe the midfielder’s versatility and wealth of league experience will enhance the team’s chances of challenging for honors and securing a strong finish in the upcoming campaign.
The signing is the latest in a series of moves by Shooting Stars to reinforce the squad as preparations intensify for the start of the 2026/27 NPFL season.
Supporters of the Oluyole Warriors will be hoping Alaka settles in quickly and plays a key role in the club’s quest to return to the top of Nigerian football.
