‎The All Progressives Congress House of Assembly candidate for Lagelu State Constituency, Hon. Hassan Olawale Giwa, has hailed President Bola Tinubu for approving road projects worth over N1 trillion for Oyo Zone.

‎Giwa, popularly known as HOG, described the approval as a demonstration of the president’s commitment to infrastructure development and economic growth in the state.

‎In a statement from his media office on Sunday, the Lagelu APC candidate said the massive road intervention would improve connectivity, ease the transportation of farm produce and goods, and stimulate business activities across communities in Oyo Zone.

‎He noted that the road projects, when completed, would significantly improve the road network in Oyo State and create better access for farmers, traders, and businesses across the affected communities.

‎”The approval of over N1 trillion for road projects in Oyo State is a clear demonstration that the President is concerned about the welfare of our people. Good roads mean better movement of goods, reduced travel time, and growth for small businesses. This will directly impact the lives of our people in various parts of the state,” Giwa stated.

‎He described the development as timely, adding that hazardous roads have for years hindered commerce and increased the cost of transportation for residents.

‎Giwa further commended the President for prioritizing projects that have direct bearing on the livelihoods of ordinary Nigerians.

‎He also used the opportunity to assure President Tinubu of massive support from Oyo State voters in the 2027 general elections.

‎” On behalf of the people of Lagelu and APC stakeholders across Oyo State, I assure Mr. President that the people will reciprocate this gesture with massive votes to secure his second term ambition. We have seen leadership that delivers, and we will stand with him,” he said.

‎Giwa called on residents of the state to continue to support the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led federal initiatives aimed at improving infrastructure and security.

‎He urged the Federal Ministry of Works to ensure speedy commencement and quality execution of the projects so that the people can begin to feel the impact.
