A top chieftain of All Progressives Concgress in Oyo State, Dr Wasiu Ayobami Lam-Adesina has called on the Federal Government and the state government to put aside political differences and work together to tackle the growing insecurity in the country.
He further stated that the recent kidnapping incident in Oriire Local Government area should be seen as a national security concern that should not be politicised.
The APC chieftain stated this in a press statement issued on Tuesday in Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo State.
Lam-Adesina added that the safety and security of Nigerians must remain a collective priority above political considerations, stressing that disagreements between governments should never hinder efforts to protect lives and property.
He noted that kidnapping has become one of the country’s most pressing security challenges, claiming innocent lives, disrupting businesses and livelihoods, and leaving victims and their families with lasting emotional and psychological trauma.
