A top chieftain of All Progressives Congress in Oyo State, Dr Wasiu Ayobami Lam-Adesina has joined others to mourn the demise of Professor Isiaka Olayinka Kolawole, a prominent chieftain of the party and former Deputy Executive Secretary of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) in the state.
Dr Wasiu, who is also the scion of the family left behind by former governor of Oyo Stata, Alhaji Lamidi Onaolapo Adesina, in a special tribute to the deceased sent to PMParrot said “I am deeply pained by the passing of my cousin and Mogaji, Professor Isiaka Olayinka Kolawole.
“He lived a life marked by intellect, loyalty and service. He made meaningful contributions in academia where he was a respected teacher, scholar and mentor.
“I will also quickly add that in public life, he served with diligence and honour. He was the Director-General, APC Presidential, and Governorship Campaign Council in Oyo in 2023 and he was Oyo State Liaison Officer in Abuja in my late Dad’s administration between 1999 and 2003.
“For our family, his passing carries a special weight. He will be remembered for his learning, his humility, his commitment to public service and his steady role within the progressive family.
“His passing is a painful loss to his immediate family, his friends, associates and all those who worked with him”.
Dr Wasiu Lam-Adesina then went ahead to pray saying, “May Almighty Allah forgive his short comings, accept his good deeds, and grant him eternal rest”.
