Super Eagles manager, Gernot Rohr shared a few trade secrets with his fellow coaches at the first ever CAF organized Coaches Workshop ahead of the 2019 AFCON.
Rohr, who previously managed Gabon and Niger, enlightened the workshop about Nigeria’s preparation for the 2018 World Cup and the use of GPS trackers among other things.
He also shared with his colleagues his experiences from the past and what he expects at the final tournament [AFCON].
The Video Assistant Referee will make its AFCON debut as well as the GPS trackers on players involved in the tournament to measure their performance and other indicators.
The coaches present; 19 of the 24 qualified teams, discussed the new Refereeing guidelines which come into effect on June 1 as also sort guarantees on the application of VAR.
