Nigeria’s Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen has made it clear that Lille will decide whether or not to sell him as from the January transfer window amid speculations linking him with a transfer to Barcelona and English Premier League clubs.
The former junior international is rumored to be on the wish list of the Spanish champions who are looking to sign a replacement for the aging Luis Suarez.
Signed from Sporting Charleroi in August 2019, Osimhen has met the expectations of Lille, having scored 9 goals in 17 matches across all competitions with two assists to his name, and the striker has refused to rule out a departure from The Dogues.
In quotes carried by foot-sur7 making reference to L’Equipe, Osimhen stated : ”I had confidence in myself and the experiences in Wolsfburg and Charleroi helped me. The most important thing was to play fast.
“I’ve always been ready to take the stage … If big clubs look at me, it’s great for me. But I am well in Lille. The club will decide if I stay or leave. I will not object.”
The 20-year-old Osimhen has a contract with Lille until the end of the 2023-2024 season.
