Veteran actor Yemi Solade, who turned 60 on Friday, January 31, 2020 will be hosted by his friends in Lagos on Sunday, February 2.
He has also been speaking about the many battles he has fought in life.
The talented Nigerian also lamented about how the ‘system’ in the country almost made him to relocate and live somewhere in Europe.
Solade made the revelations while speaking with PMParrotng on the occasion of his 60th birthday anniversary on Saturday.
He said “the system is not fair to some of us at all. I have been in the business of acting for over four decades and there really is nothing to show for it. This has made me to fight so many battles and I thank God that I am still alive to tell the story.
“Yes, some of those who came behind us are lucky, but then, what we need in the country is readjustment of our value system. I am one of the best around. I am proud to say this but what I earn is merely enough to keep me going. But all the same, I give God all the glory.”
Meanwhile, arrangements have been concluded by Yemi’s friends to host him on Sunday, February 2 to mark his 60th birthday.
The actor further volunteered “the venue is City People Event Center, No 2, Otunba Shobowale Close, Charly Boy Bus Stop, Gbagada, Lagos. The event starts by 2 pm.
