Mrs Peju Babafemi, Ekiti State’s Head of Service (HOS) will be placed on the Hall of Fame of the Odua Investment Company Limited as a result of her track records and enviable antecedents leading to her appointment as the First female Head of Service in Ekiti State.
The Group Managing Director of the Company, Mr Adewale Raji stated this during a courtesy visit to the Head of Service in her office.
The GMD who spoke through the Team Lead, Learning & Career Development/ Performance Management, Mrs Sileola Akinbowale, noted that the Head of Service has made womanhood and the Yoruba nation proud through her sterling qualities.
He noted that the company, as an investment hub of the South West region, which supports business development and capacity building among other services, will collaborate with the Head of Service to engender a virile Civil Service in the state.
The Head of Service, in her response, expressed gratitude to the leadership of the company for the honour, noting that the gesture will encourage her to put in more efforts in her service to humanity.
She commended the Kayode Fayemi-led administration for providing a more conducive working environment and capacity building for the State Civil Servants with a promise that she will partner with Odua Company to ensure more training and capacity building for civil servants, saying, ‘you can’t blame them, if you don’t train them’.
Babafemi, however, called on the workers to remain committed and dedicated to their duties to justify the confidence reposed in them by the state government and to ensure qualitative service delivery to members of the public.
