The Speaker Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin has expressed grief over the death of the state’s Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Hon. Kehinde Ayoola.
The Speaker, in a statement described the late Ayoola as a hard-working man, a selfless personality, who always offer his time, expertise and resources when needed by anyone around him.
Ayoola, who was an ex-while Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, died on Thursday morning after brief illness.
He was a member of the assembly between 1999 and 2003.
Ayoola served as the Director-General of the Seyi Makinde’s Omi Tuntun Campaign Organization during the 2015 gubernatorial campaign and Deputy Director-General at the 2019.
He was appointed Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources by Governor Seyi Makinde in 2019.
According to Ogundoyin, the death of Ayoola came as a rude shock to all members of the assembly.
The Speaker added that late Ayoola will be greatly missed as a committed and strategic member of the Governor Seyi Makinde’s Oyo developmental team.
His words, “My brother, Hon. Ayoola was a great asset to us as a former lawmaker and Speaker at the Oyo State House of Assembly and also as a serving member of Governor Makinde’s cabinet.
“He served the state well and love his people with all he had when he was alive. It is sadden death took him away, when the state need him more. May his soul rest in peace and God grant his family, political associates, and the entire state fortitude to bear the lost,” Hon. Ogundoyin said.
