The Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin has said that state will participate fully in the funeral for the late Commissioner and former Speaker, Kehinde Ayoola in order to pay him their last respect and to accord him a befitting legislative honor.
Hon. Ogundoyin disclosed this on Monday when he led other members on a condolence visit to the family of the late Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Hon Kehinde Ayoola at their Gbekuba, Apata Ibadan resident.
The Speaker, while presenting the condolence to the family members, described the deceased as a selfless politician who would be missed for his integrity, honesty, dedication and political sagacity.
Ogundoyin said it was still difficult for members of the assembly to believe that one of their political and legislative mentors who was a former Speaker and a vibrant political actor in the present dispensation in Oyo state had died.
He urged the family especially the sons of the late commissioner not to despair as their father had joined the saint triumphant. He prayed that God’s plans and designs for their lives would be fulfilled.
The Speaker, while signing the condolence register wrote, “We are saddened by your sudden death, and it is really incredible to believe that you are gone. We will certainly remain focused on your ideals of hard work, honesty, transparency and service to humanity. You have surely left behind enduring legacies. Adieu, a quintessential politician and legislator per excellence.”
The delegation included the Oyo State deputy Speaker, Hon Muhammed Abiodun Fadeyi and other Principal officers as well as management staff of Oyo Assembly.
