The exploit of former Nigeria’s Super Eagles winger, Victor Moses with his new Russian Premier League side, Spartak Moscow has earned him praises of former Arsenal midfielder, Andrey Arshavin.
Arshavin said he believes that Moses, who joined the Moscow based team on loan recently and scored his first goal for the side in 3-1 victory over Krasnodar on Saturday, will make an impact in the Russian Premier League this season.
“I think it was clear that this is a strong footballer for our championship. Moses has strengthened the necessary position for Spartak.
“I remember how he played for Wigan against us. He played more with the ball. Now – more at a distance. Spent a lot of time at Inter and Chelsea,” Arshavin knows all about the qualities of Moses having faced him in the Premier League when the Nigerian was at Wigan Athletic said.
Moses will make his home debut for Spartak on Saturday when the Red and Whites play host to Rostov.
