Nigeria’s Super Eagles safehands, Maduka Okoye is delighted to be back on home soil and said he is also getting ready for the upcoming engagements against Sierra Leone.
Maduka was one of the early arrivals in Super Eagles for the 2022 AFCON qualifiers against Leone Stars of Sierra Leone and the Sparta Rotterdam of Holland goalkeeper was involved in Tuesday’s evening training and Wednesday morning.
Okoye is competing with other three goalkeepers in camp qualifying clash against the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone, but the 19-year-old said he’s getting ready for the game.
“Feels good being back home Nigeria, getting ready for the upcoming Super Eagles matches” he said in a post on social media.
Maduka was in goal for friendlies against African champions Algeria and Carthage Eagles of Tunisia last month but he’s yet to feature on home soil since making his debut in 2019.
