As part of effort to promote culture and tradition particularly among school children, Mahnatez International School has organized a ‘Cultural Day’ for its students.
Mahnatez International School which celebrated its 10th year anniversary last year is located at Alaafin Avenue, Oluyole, Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.
According to the founder, the school was established to promote excellence in early childhood education.
The event witnessed display of various cultural items, singing of cultural songs and pupils putting on different attires showcasing and promoting cultures of various tribes in Nigeria. It was held recently within the school premises.
The Founder and Proprietress of the School, Hajjia Bolatito Adebisi said that the event was to commemorate the 2021 World Culture Day.
She emphasized on the importance of preservation of culture as the responsibility of all parents, organizations and government at all levels particularly as it concerns the upbringing of the younger generation.
Hajjia Adebisi disclosed that it is fundamental to teach children the way of life through culture and tradition guiding the establishment of various tribes in the country. She listed greetings, foods, dressings as some of the cultural values a child must imbibe.
The Proprietress charged parents to compliment the efforts of their teachers by individually encouraging and exposing their wards to cultural items and heritage.
Hajjia Adebisi added that the step will go a long way in the educational advancement of the children by promoting unity in diversity and tolerance
