A gubernatorial candidate on the platform of the People’s Redemption Party (PRP) in the governorship election in Ekiti State, Mr. Olaniyi Agboola, has said he would transform the state into a business and agriculture hub if elected.
Agboola, who gave the hint in Ado-Ekiti after he emerged as the PRP governorship standard-bearer in the June 2022 election, said he has what it takes to take Ekiti to the next level of greatness.
“We’ve embarked on consultations across the 16 local government chapters of the PRP, including stakeholders from ward to ward and they assured us of their support,” he said:
Agboola, who emerged as the consensus governorship candidate of the party supervised by the national chairman and officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), after deliberations by the leaders of the party in the state, thanked the citizens for their support.
He said the leaders and members of the PRP elected him at the primaries because of his qualities and ability to win the governorship poll, based on his popularity.
The governorship hopeful said: “The party will win the governorship election based on the desire for a change of government by the people of Ekiti State. PRP will provide an alternative to the current style of governance, which the people are already tired of.”
