Champions Africa Women Cup of Nations, the Super Falcons of Nigeria, moved up one spot to 34th position in the latest FIFA Coca-Cola women’s World Rankings
This was confirmed on FIFA’s official website on Friday.
The Falcons who won last year’s AWCON (their eight title) in Cameroon, remain number one in Africa.
The Black Queens of Ghana maintain their 45th position and second spot on the continent, the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon are third in Africa and 47th in the world.
Two-time AWCON champions, Equatorial Guinea, are 51st in the world and fourth in Africa, while Banyana Banyana of South Africa are fifth on the continent and 51st in the world ranking.
Meanwhile, in the world ranking, Germany are number one, USA are second and France third.
England are in the fourth position, Canada are fifth, Japan are in sixth, Sweden in seventh spot, Australia occupy the eight spot while Brazil and North Korea are ninth and 10th respectively.
