Come Wednesday, Osun State’s Governor Rauf Aregbesola will be at the Osogbo Township Stadium to give support to Osun United Football Club as they welcome Bendel Insurance Football Club in one of the Week 2 tie of the Nigeria National League.
A statement from Osun Football Association said Aregbesola is expected to lead members of the state executive council to cheer Osun United to victory against Insurance.
“Governor Aregbesola will be the Special Guest of Honour on Wednesday when Osun United lock horn with Bendel Insurance. His Excellency will be at the Oshogbo Township Stadium with his executive members to catch a glimpse of the match,” the statement stated.
The statement recalled that Aregbesola recently expressed his faith in the Omoluabi Giants, believing that the club as all it takes to secure one of the promotion tickets to the Nigeria Professional Football League.
