Nigeria Professional Football League U-17 All Stars have qualified for the final of the Gauteng Future Champions Football Tournament in South Africa after defeating Mamelodi Sundowns U-17s 3-0 in Friday’s semi-final.
A brace from Nazifi Yahaya and a goal from Abdullahi Sadiq, secured the comfortable win for the NPFL All Stars team.
Yahaya opened the scoring in the second minute after bringing down a long pass with his chest before shooting past Sundowns keeper.
Yahaya grabbed his second from the penalty spot in the 26th minute following a dangerous kick to the head of Rafiu Ishaq.
Ishaq was sent off along with the Sundowns player that committed the foul for retaliation.
And in the 36th minute Sadiq made it 3-0 to the NPFL All Stars finishing off a brilliant counter attack.
The NPFL All Stars will now face either Atletico Madrid who are the defending champions or Bidvest Wits in the final on Monday.
In their two earlier games, NPFL All Stars drew 1-1 against SAFA Tshwane before thrashing FC Torino 3-0.
