Ogun Politician Advises Buhari To Speed Up Action To End Recession

Governorship candidate under the platform of Unity Party of Nigeria during the 2015 general elections in Ogun State, Otunba Olatunde Rotimi Paseda has advised President Muhammadu Buhari to speed up action that will move the country out the present economic recession.

Paseda, while addressing journalists recently noted that, since government has discovered that over dependent on oil led the country to the present situation, and government also knows that the only way out is the diversification of the economic, he said that what government needs to do is to speed up necessary actions that can move the country out of the present situation.

The UPN governorship candidate emphasized that countries like China and India had one time been in socio-economic situation like this, but diversification of their economy brought fortune to their countries.

Otunba Paseda disclosed that Nigeria is blessed with both human and material resources that can enable it compete among committee of nation, but how to coordinate and manage them is the major problem.

He reiterated that if the present administration in the country can focus more on the agriculture and manufacturing sectors, the nation will be better for it. He added that India for instance, is among the third world countries, however, her economy is growing faster.

Paseda charged President Buhari to work more on developing infrastructure with the hope of attracting investors and manufacturers.

He noted further that there is need to encourage the youth to develop interest particularly in the agriculture and manufacturing sectors.
