As the State Federation Cup enters its quarterfinals, the Oluyole Warriors, Shooting Stars Sports Club will have to redouble their efforts when confronting the hard fighting military football team, the Green Beret FC in one of the quarterfinal pairings slated for Tuesday at the Lekan Salami Sport Complex, Ibadan.
The Fatai Amoo tutored side will have their hands full while locking horns with the nationwide side who demolished Adeyemi FC from Oyo by six goals to one in the round of 16 as against 3SC that secured qualification via a slim 2-1 victory against the feeders team of Crown FC of Ogbomoso.
The Chairman of Oyo State Football Association, Chief James Odeniran has urged all football enthusiasts in the state to troop out in large numbers to watch the local derby, assuring them of adequate security and fair officiating.
Other quarterfinal pairings slated for Tuesday involves Golden Stars FC Ibadan against Swanlux FC Ibadan scheduled for 12 p.m, All Stars FC of Oyo versus a team owned by the chairman of Oyo State National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) Alh. Taofeek Oyerinde, Fele Babes FC Ibadan slated for 2 p.m.
The date for the last quarterfinal match involving Crown FC Ogbomoso and Pacesetter Int’l FC Ibadan is yet to be fixed according to the Oyo FA secretary Kehinde Ojelowo.
