The founder of One Love Family, Satguru Maharaj Ji has demanded for ministerial appointment from the federal government for Nigeria to be a happy place to live in.
Maharaj Ji made the demand on Sunday evening during the closing ceremony of the 30th anniversary of founding Maharaj Ji village in Ibadan.
He said that there was need for the Federal Government to invite any of Maharaj Ji devotee to come on board to develop the country, saying Muslims and Christians have done it.
“How can you give three ministries like power, housing and works to one person?
“Give me minister of power or housing and the country will be a better place to live.
“I demanded for it, no compromise, he said.
The founder of One Love Family also called for the promotion of traditional culture in order for it not to go on extinct.
“He said that this would make the Obas, Obis and kings of our land to be given some constitutional power and help in building the country”.
Maharaj Ji said that there was need to listen to him, saying he was expressing the love he has not only for the people but for the traditional and cultural aspect of human life.
He said that corruption, mismanagement of fund and stealing were very rampant in the country because his advised were not adhered to.
“There is need to listen to Maharaj Ji to make corruption, mismanagement of fund and stealing which is very rampant nowadays in Nigeria to vanish.
“Ignoring of traditional culture contributes to increase in immoral behaviour like killing, embezzlement of fund among other social vices affecting the country,’’ he said.
Maharaj Ji sued for peace, progress of the country and friendship among Nigeria leaders.
In his contribution, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji, appreciated Maharaj Ji for the love he has for the traditional rulers and for canvassing for promotion of traditional culture.
Oba Adetunji, who was represented by his wife, Kudirat, said, he was aware of Maharaj Ji’s contribution to the progress of Ibadan and Nigeria at large.
The Olubadan said that regardless of whatever religion and what people say about Maharaj Ji, he now knows that he was sent to this generation so that this generation would not fail.
