Enyeama Thankful After Successful Surgery

Nigerian international goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama has undergone a surgery on his injured knee and he indicated that the operation was a success.

The 34-year-old goalkeeper who has been ruled out for the rest of the season posted a picture of himself in bed via his Twitter handle with a note thanking his fans for wishing him well.

The Lille goalkeeper ruptured his knee in his side’s 2-0 defeat to Rennes – and manager Franck Passi on Thursday disclosed that the 34-year-old will be out for the rest of the season after undergoing an arthroscopy of the knee.

He posted on his Twitter account on Wednesday: “God bless you all for your numerous goodwill messages and wishes. It was done and it was successfully done. Thanks to God.”

Enyeama has featured in 32 French topflight games this term, keeping eight clean slates and conceding 40 goals.

Lille are 11th on the French topflight log with 43 points and they host Metz in their next encounter on Sunday.
