Alampasu Eager To Make Super Eagles Debut Against Corsica

Super Eagles invitee, Dele Alampasu has said that he would be a happy man if he can get his much anticipated debut for the national team later this month in an international friendly against the Corsica Senior National Team.

The former U-17 and U-20 National Team goalkeeper, who has been called up three times to the senior national team but failed to make the line-up, said he is determined to prove his worth in training when the camp opens in Corsica on May 24 as he aims towards achieving his dream of making his debut.

Alampasu has impressed at his Portuguese third division side Cesarense since joining the club from Feirense on loan and has been rewarded with another call-up to the national side.

“Of course, I am delighted to receive another call-up and it’s always a proud moment for me representing my country,” he said.

“I just want to do my best in training and if I can do that, then I hope I can achieve my dream of making my debut.

“It is everybody’s dream to play for their country and I am looking forward to the game against Corsica and I hope I get the chance to show what I can do.”
