The burial arrangements for late former Minister of Education, Professor Babalola Borishade have been announced by the family.
According to a Press release signed by Dr Olamide Borishade, the burial ceremonies will be kicked off from Abuja on Tuesday 4th of July and will end in Usi – Ekiti on 8th of July 2017.
Dr Borishade disclosed that, on Tuesday 4th July, there will be a day of Tributes at the Sheu Musa Yar’Adua Centre Abuja between 2 and 5 p.m, while Commendation Service will be held at his residence 108, Ebutu Ukiwe, Street, Jabi, Abuja between 7 and 9 pm.
The release revealed that, activities will be shifted to Usi – Ekiti on Thursday 6th of July for the Elegbejegbe, (Age grade) parade at 10 a.m, while a Night of Tribute will hold at St Andrew’s Primary School field on that Thursday from 7 p.m – 11 p.m
“The Wake will hold on Friday 7th July at the Federal Science and Technical College, Usi – Ekiti at 7 – 9 pm, and funeral and outing service on Saturday 8th of July 2017 at St Andrew’s Cathedral Anglican Communion Ekiti Oke Diocese, Usi Ekiti. Interment takes place immediately after the service”
A prominent son of Usi Ekiti and journalist, Wale Ojo Lanre also informed that the people of Usi are ready to host the whole world.
Said he “we are hospitable people at Usi. Security is tight, we invite all to come down and celebrate our departed hero with us.”
