Ogun Assembly Tasks Police On Activities Of Land Grabbers

Ogun State Police Command has been challenged to immediately step into a case of land invasion of Onigbedu community consisting of Ijere, Worugudu, Ijere Agelete, Orimerunmu, Oriyanrin and Kaara by suspected land grabbers so as to restore peace in the area.

The Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Suraju Ishola Adekunbi, represented by his Deputy, Olakunle Oluomo gave the challenge while addressing members of the Community led by the Baale Ijere Onigbedu, Rev. Abiodun Olatunji, at the Assembly Complex, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta, assuring the people that the Assembly would ensure that the necessary agencies of government is notified to restore peace to the community.

He counseled the people of the affected community to be law abiding and avoid any act inimical to peace and security in their domain, assuring them that necessary government agencies and Anti-Land Grabbing Task force would also be contacted to address their issue.

Speaking earlier, Baale Olatunji appealed to the assembly to help intervene so as to curb the excesses of land grabbers who had been terrorizing their communities.
